The day starts with a falconry display at Pen-y-Bryn Park five miles from Cerrigydrudion. The park has a nature trail and is home to a variety of animals, including llamas. Refreshment is also available.
lunch:
Lunch is at the Golden Lion Inn in Llangynhafal, Denbigh.
pm:
The afternoon includes a visit to Llyn Brenig a 920-acre reservoir in the heart of the Denbigh Moors. Completed in 1976, the reservoir is one of the largest lakes in Wales, and is surrounded by heather moorland and spruce forests. The Visitor centre has lots of information on the area, including its ecology and archaeological past. A tour can be booked in advance with the ranger.

FROM THE A5
- Travel through Llangollen and Corwen to Cerrigydrudion. Take the B5105 from Cerrigydrudion towards Ruthin. After 5 miles follow signs for Pen y Bryn.
FROM THE A55
- Take Junction 27a signed St. Asaph then A525 through Denbigh to Ruthin. at Ruthin follow signs for Bala / Corwen, continue on to B5105. Follow signs after 9 miles for Pen y Bryn.
