The day starts with a visit to picturesque Bodelwyddan Castle.Set in 260 acres of magnificent parkland, the Castle is now an outstation of the National Portrait Gallery. As well as being a historic house and museum with a free audio tour available, the Castle also boasts large areas of formal garden, natural woodland, a garden maze, Victorian games room, gift shop and tea room. A particular feature is the area of practice trenches dating from the First World War

Lunch is at The Farmers Arms, an 18th century Country Inn under new management in the Waen near St Asaph.

In the afternoon, you will visit Tweedmill, a factory retail outletoffering a wide range of shopping opportunities at keen prices. Over 30,000-sq. ft of bargains are all situated under one roof. Refreshements can be taken at Drapers Cafe Bar. Or if its just a snack or a drink, try the new Warehouse Cafe

Directions
- From the A55, take Junction 25 signed Bodelwyddan Castle.
- Re-join A55 to Chester and exit at Junction 28. Follow signs for Trefnant. Arrive Farmers Arms.
- Head back to St. Asaph and follow the brown and white signs for Tweedmill.
